Is Natural Acne Treatment Right For You?

Acne can happen to you. In fact it can happen to any of us. Usally acne starts up in the face and can cause embarrassment and even avoidance of going out in public.

Some people only experience light, occasional break-outs. Unfortunately for others, this problem can go on for years and requires treatment.

There are several choices when it comes to healing your acne. A dermatologist is recommended for severe or frequent blemishes. Natural acne treatment is the ideal remedy for milder cases.

Natural acne treatment is simple. Changing your diet or taking herbs and vitamins to cleanse and provide additional nutrition could be enough to clear your skin up. You should eliminate sugars, oils, and fats from your diet as much as possible. They are not part of a good balanced diet and are all unhealthy to begin with.

Start drinking water instead of sugary soda and eat a vegetable snack instead of you usual chips. You will notice that this is not a difficult change to make. Being overall healthier will reflect the health of your skin. It has been debated that diet has no effect on acne.

Diet alone is not a suitable natural acne treatment. However, modifying your diet in addition to taking certain vitamins can clear up your skin. Taking certain vitamins is a great natural acne treatment used by many people. Zinc can prevent acne from ever occurring. It also heals existing blemishes.

Vitamin A in small doses reduces the production of your skins natural oil, called sebum. Certain herbal blends are also of help to your body and your skin. The advantages to natural acne treatment are that you avoid ever having to see a dermatologist, your body will benefit from healthier eating, and you are not exposing your skin to harsh chemicals.

Visiting a dermatologist to take care of your acne can get expensive. It usually requires many follow-up visits and paying for prescriptions. This can also be time consuming and overall just not worth it if your acne is not severe enough to actually require it.

Avoiding greasy foods will keep your system clean, which is beneficial to your general health as well as your skin. Proper acne medicines include ingredients that can cause your skin to be sensitive to sunlight or even diminish your condition. Changing your diet and taking vitamins are not the only available possibilities as natural acne treatment.

You could suffer from stress-induced acne. Alternatives to reduce stress in your life are different from person to person because everyone gets stressed out by different things. Exercising and having plenty of rest can be of help to calm the stress in your life. Maybe taking a walk or practicing yoga would help you to relax and clear your mind to be stress-free. A life without stress could be a life without suffering from acne.

Perhaps natural treatment may not be the right answer to your acne, depending on the origin of it. Experimenting is an easy and painless method to try, and it could save you a lot of money if it is right for you.br

After trying many products and treatments to get rid of your acne, are you still unsuccessful? Thinking acne is not curable?
Acne is one hundred percent curable. It all comes down to getting to the root of the problem.
Root Causes of Acne:
Bacteria and Clogged pores are the root causes of acne. Hormones are found to be another root cause but in few cases.
Acne Bacteria Treatment:

Most acne treatments attack bacteria that cause acne. If you are the victim of acne vulgaris, your doctor will very likely give you a course of antibiotics. It could be either an oral or a topical course.

Many of the over-the-counter acne products contain benzoyl peroxide, which forces oxygen into pores. Oxygen is deadly to acne bacteria.

Clogged Pores Treatment:

Masks and Salicylic Acid help in unclogging the pores. A scrub and deep cleansing mask should be done twice or thrice a week.
Some detective work is the key to your success in your quest for conquering acne. Besides the root causes of acne mentioned above, you should seek to eliminate any other possible causes of your acne. By doing that, you may see results or even better results.
Look to see if your house has gone too dirty. If it is, clean your house from the dirt as soon as you can because mites and dirt can worsen acne.
If still your acne persists, consult your dermatologist soonest. Your acne may be acne rosacea. Acne rosacea sufferer requires medical help./pbr

Dry Skin Causes Acne

Does acne affect those with dry skin types? Both acne and dry skin are undesirable skin problems and both have unique characteristics. Typically, acne appears as a cause of concern for teenagers whereas on the other hand, dry skin tends to appear only when one gets older. But in order to fully understand whether acne will occur in dry skin, one ought to know the causes of how acne begins and the different factors that lead to the forming of such bad skin spots. Acne is an inflammatory skin disorder in which the sebaceous gland associated with a hair follicle secretes excessive oil. The excess oil on our skin causes our skin to inflame and produce unsightly lesion that is usually both reddish and obtrusive. Click Here For Acne Cure Naturally Instant Access! The main reason why acne is more common in puberty is because during such a period, the hormone is less stable and our skin system becomes imbalanced. Our skin is most affected by such anomalous reaction, and acne becomes more dominant during such a time. Good news is that for people with dry skin, sebaceous glands are usually less active. This makes severe acne unlikely though it may still happen for some. However, those with combination skin type (i.e. oily and dry skin) will find that their acne is usually at areas such as the nose, forehead and chin. That is because this T-zone area is usually the oiliest part of the skin. Click Here For Acne Cure Naturally Instant Access! Surprisingly, acne can appear during winter time when our skin loses its moisture and becomes dry. Because of the lack of blood circulation, our skin is deprived of the nourishment and moisture it needs. This causes the skin protective barrier to lower its defense and bad impurities have the chance to hurt our skin. Such imbalance may cause the sebaceous glands to be blocked, leading to acne. Our skin is one of the most important organs of our body. Good skin care habits are important if one is to be free from acne or dry skin. For those with dry skin types, one is less likely to get acne. However, wrong use of skin care products br

Acne Treatment – What Are The Best Acne Treatment Methods Available Presently?

14 Dec

br
With todays medical advances, we are being presented with many methods to deal with acne problems. With such a myriad of solutions available to us, frankly it can be quite confusing to the layman. To help us understand this issue more, let us look at the different methods for the treatment of acne if your acne is not responding to over the counter (OTC) medications. First, it would be wise to visit your local GP. If after two months the acne still does not seem to be improving, ask for a referral to a dermatologist. Treatments for acne differ in various countries and what is acceptable in one may not be available in another. Click Here For Acne Cure Naturally Instant Access! One of the most common treatments for acne is an antibiotic like tetracycline. This will kill the bacteria present in the blocked hair follicle, thus reducing the inflammation. It may need to be taken for some months, but is considered quite safe. The acne can also be treated externally by using erythromycin or benzoyl peroxide. While this reduces the bacteria causing the problem, it is really treating the symptoms rather than the cause. That is, the oil secretion and abnormal cell behaviour that blocks the follicle in the first place. So unfortunately, the acne will usually reappear within some weeks of the treatment being stopped. The best thing to do is to reduce the amount of oil being secreted, and this can be accomplished by taking Vitamin A derivatives (marketed as Accutane). There are many harsh side effects, such as nosebleeds and dry skin with this treatment, so it must be done under the close supervision of the dermatologist. On the good side, over 80% of patients are permanently cured of acne. It was once thought that liver damage and depression could occur, but this is unsubstantiated. Birth defects can occur if taken by pregnant women, but the patient also taking the contraceptive pill before beginning the treatment avoids this. Click Here For Acne Cure Naturally Instant Access! Exfoliating the skin is another treatment widely used in controlling acne. A chemical exfoliating agent such as salicylic acid or glycolic acid is used as a topical application to encourage the top layer of skin to peel off. This is not as horrible as it sounds, as only a microscopic layer dissolves. The same effect can also be accomplished by the use of an abrasive cloth or liquid scrub. Sometimes, the contraceptive pill is prescribed for the control of acne. A combined oestrogen or progestogen pill (marketed as Diane) is the most effective and now there is a new one on the market though it may not be available in the USA which has fewer side effects. Photosynthesis is yet another treatment. Sunlight has been used for a short term aid in the past. Now it has been found that intense blue light produced by specially made fluorescent tubes is far more efficient. Yoram Harth and Alan Shalita have conducted extensive tests and trials with this method and found it can reduce the inflamed lesions by 60 to 70% in about four weeks of treatment. It works best if the acne is mild to moderate and has no side effects. Before you do anything for your can problems, please consult your doctor for each of the treatment. You may not be aware of some medical complications that may arise. Your present medical condition may prohibit you from some treatments. It may be wise for you to read more before you proceed with these treatments used to control and cure acne. Click Here For Acne Cure Naturally Instant Access!br

Learn the Truth About Acne Myths

08 Dec

Author: Manuel OConnellbr
Source: articlesbase.combr
br
Many of the problems facing those who are trying to deal with acne are the pervasive sources of misinformation out there regarding the causes of acne. Despite the numerous valid sources of information on and about acne that are now available, these myths persist and are passed on by word-of-mouth to those unfortunate enough to suffer from the disease. Rather than finding solutions and treatments to alleviate the symptoms, problems are often compounded. Ill-advised treatments based off these myths can have less than effective results and can often do further damage in the case of severe acne. In light of the influence that these myths can have on both understanding acne in general and the courses of treatment in particular, it would be wise to start with a quick overview of some of the more common myths that are out there, dispelling the misinformation with the truth about them. After this we can move on to the question of what the actual causes of acne might be. Click Here For Acne Cure Naturally Instant Access! Myth #1: Acne is caused by poor hygiene. It doesn’t matter how often, how ritually, you scrub your face and other areas affected by acne; this has no bearing on either the status of current a breakout or the creation of new problems. In fact, this sort of rigorous regimen of washing and scrubbing can actually irritate skin and make the acne worse, not better. Though you may have heard so from well-meaning parents growing up or some other misinformed person, acne is not caused by poor hygiene. This doesn’t mean that hygiene isn’t important. In fact, good hygiene can help reduce the effects of acne if used in conjunction with acne treatment products. Rather than frequent, harsh washing, it is generally recommended that you wash your face twice to three times a day with mild soap and then pat it dry – don’t scrub dry. Myth #2: Acne is caused by diet. “Don’t eat chocolate, it will give you pimples!” “They say that eating greasy foods can give you zits.” Most of you have heard these and other similar statements before, right? What they are saying, in effect, is that what you eat can cause acne. But, what they are saying isn’t true. It is a myth, one of the more popular ones actually, about the causes of acne. Extensive scientific research has been conducted, searching for possible correlations between one’s diet and a possible cause of acne, and have not found anything conclusive. However, each of us is different. Some people notice that breakouts are worse after eating certain foods–and the kinds of food differ with each person. For example, some people may notice breakouts after eating chocolate; while others have no effects with chocolate. Instead, they notice breakouts occurring after they drink too much coffee or caffeine. These are just examples but they might be worth heading. If there is some sort of food or drink that might be affecting your acne, then cut back and see if that helps. Myth #3: Acne is caused by stress. Stress is not a direct cause of acne but it is true that some types of stress can cause the body to produce a hormone called cortisol, which can irritate existing acne. Indirectly, some medication that we take to alleviate or control extreme stress or emotional problems like depression can be factors in the production of acne. In fact, some medicines have acne listed as a possible side effect. Click Here For Acne Cure Naturally Instant Access! Myth #4: Acne will go away on its own. This is generally not true and acne needs treatment in order to be cleared up. With the selection of acne treatment products available today there is no reason not to investigate and find what has the best results for those concerned. In some cases, a dermatologist should be consulted and other forms of treatment can be pursued. Myth #5: Tanning clears up skin. In fact, this has the reverse effect. At first it may seem that the latest bake in the tanning bed or sunbathing has improved your complexion, but in fact the tan may only have masked or covered the acne. In reality, the sun can make the skin dry and irritated and this can lead to more breakouts. On another note, if you do tan, make sure that you are using a sunscreen that doesn’t contain oils and other chemicals that might clog up your pores and cause acne to get worse. (Look for noncomedogenic or nonacnegenic on the label.) Myth #6: Popping Zits Will Make Them Go Away Faster Again, though this seems true, it is another myth. Rather than speeding up the process of healing, this action actually prolongs the situation as popping the whitehead caused the bacteria inside to be pushed deeper into the skin, which allows more infection to grow, and ultimately leads to scarring. Myth #7: Only Teenagers get acne. The truth is that about 25% to 30% of all people between the ages 25- 44 have active acne. So the idea that acne is only a problem for teens is yet another myth. Adults Dont Get Acne! Do They?

07 Dec

Skin problems not only effect those in their teens, adult acne is also a very common occurrence, in todays society. Adult women are more apt to suffer from acne than men. Adult men are at higher risk in terms of permanent scaring, caused by acne problems. Contrary to what most people think, adult acne is NOT caused by improper hygiene.

In truth, acne is caused by a number of different things. Oily skin, hair ducts that do not close as they should and infection are three key factors which lead to skin problems. These factors remain the same, in both adults and teens. (Hows that for thinking you wouldnt get acne, because you are an adult.)

Pimples occur when dead skin, small deposits of fatty tissue and keratin get clogged in a hair duct. When the duct is open, this clogging produces a blackhead. When the duct is closed, it is referred to as a whitehead. Because a whitehead is closed, in most cases, it will eventually rupture. This bursting causes the redness and infection of adult acne.

There are many myths associated with adult acne. Dermatologists tell us that acne is not caused by eating chocolate, fish or oily foods. Stress, in itself, does not cause acne. However, there are certain stress-relieving drugs that have been known to cause skin conditions.

Acne does not clear up faster if you wash your face several times a day or sit out in the sun. Acne is not caused by dirt. Washing your face many times a day can actually do more harm than good. Sitting in the sun only darkens your skin and can cause scaring.

Remember, if you are battling a skin condition, you are not alone. There are numerous ways to treat the problem. You do not have to live with adult acne forever!/pbr

Severe Acne Treatment – Dont Worry Follow Regimen

06 Dec

Author: Ryan Englishbr

br
Severe acne is characterized by inflammation, formation of cysts, excessive damage to skin and deep scarring. Severe acne requires aggressive acne treatment which needs to taken up under the watchful eyes of dermatologists. Various severe acne treatments which are available today are as follows:

Drainage and surgical excision

Interlesional corticosteroid injection

Isotretinoin

Oral antibiotics

Drainage and surgical excision:

Some cysts are so large and widespread that they do not respond to medication. These have to be physically drained and excised under the watchful eyes of dermatologist. Care should be taken and no attempt is to be made to personally excise them in front of bathroom mirrors. The instruments employed should be properly sterilized. It has been observed in many a cases that patients attempt to cut and puncture these cysts have led to many a problems and in fact have made the condition worse. To drain and surgically excise these cysts, special comedones are used by surgeons.

Interlesional corticosteroid injection

Some of the cysts may become so large that their bursting might create loss of skin tissues and deep scarring. To avoid such situation these cysts are injected with corticosteroid injection which helps is reducing the inflammation and proper healing. After injecting the inflammation subsides and healing start taking place within 3-5 days.

Isotretinoin

It is the most effective treatment for severe acne which has defied all other medications. It is a man made retinoid which comes if form of a pill. Beauty of this pill is that it tries to attack all four factors which are responsible for acne, namely, excess oil production by glands, presence of P. acnes bacteria, clogged pores and inflammation. The course depends upon the severity but normally one or two course of 16-20 weeks is sufficient to address the problem. Although the pill is quite effective in tackling the root problem but it can have many side effects like severe joint pains, nausea, vomiting, thinning of hairs etc. this medication is complete taboo for pregnant women. Because of such strong side effects this medication is administered only in extreme cases.

Oral antibiotics

This is the most popular severe acne treatment available. The treatment works to attack P. acnes bacteria. The treatment begins with stronger than normal dosage and as the results starts showing up, the dosages can be reduced. The popular antibiotics which are being used today are doxycline, erythromycin and tetracycline.

Oral contraceptive

This is one of the very unusual methods of treating acne. It has been observed that contraceptive pills tend to rein in hyper active sebaceous glands. Oral contraceptives can be used as a long term therapy but it should not be used for women who are over 35 years of age. In addition, before its use women has to seek opinion of gynecologists against the likely side effects.br

Acne Medicine – Does Your Acne Require It?

06 Dec

Author: Theresa Sontagbr

Acne is an ordeal for many people. Its victims consist of all ages, races and sex. When looking for medicine to clear your acne it is important to remember that it will happen in stages, not overnight. This means you will have to be patient, there are no real quick fixes. In fact, your goal is to obtain a healthy, clear complexion for life.
Opting for the acne treatment products that promise you clear skin in a matter of days must be done with caution. How strong do those chemicals have to be in order for them to work so fast? Are there any major side effects? Does your acne type qualify for these fast acne treatment products? You can invest a lot of money buying treatments that do not work. And too many of them will leave you bitterly disappointed by the lack of results.
There are severe cases of acne that require acne medical treatment, such as cases like Rosacea. However, even cases that might not seem as severe might require acne medical treatment. How do you know what type of acne you have? Its severity? And what treatment you should use?
The First and Most Important Step is to go to your doctor.
Your doctor can tell you whether your acne requires a visit to a specilist – a dermatologist. This referral should also allow you to receive acne medical treatment at a lower price, as your health insurance will subsidize the cost of the medicine.
However, before consulting your doctor, you should take a few steps to ensure you can properly outline your problem. Your first step is to create an acne treatment history of every product you have used on your skin and what benefits you derived from it. You should record for each product:if it worked, for how long, and especially note any adverse reactions.
These notes will be of valuable assistance to your skin care professional. Why? Well, you might have been using products that were not really suitable for your skin type. Your dermatologist will then be able to recommend the acne medical product you need to achieve long term results based upon your specific problem and skin type and this is precisely what you want.
In summary, it is important to remember your goal is a healthy, clear complexion for the long term. To achieve this, visit your doctor to get the professional assistance needed in attaining this goal and the skin you deserve and can be proud of.

Does Acne Treatment Actually Work?

03 Dec

Author: Ken Wilsonbr
Source: articledashboard.combr
br
You always wanted to have your friends clean skin, but unfortunately, when you look in a mirror all you see is red, ugly spots, which hide your nice features. Many people have to deal with the persistent acne that does not clear even after treatments with antibiotics or more sophisticated methods.

To get rid of acne you have to find out first what the cause of it is. Using a cleanser or ointment as an acne treatment when the acne is very serious will not improve your skin condition. Nevertheless, it might actually make it worse. If you see a doctor or a dermatologist, they will prescribe you drugs, topical treatments or antibiotics, which of course will not work, because they are not managing the root cause of the problem.

Women have the tendency to hide the acne with make-up but this is not a smart thing to do. Make-up will only clog the skin more and not allow it to breathe. You can find on the market such so-called acne remedy, consisting of all sorts of creams, cleansers, special formulas, but as most people with acne have noticed, they do not work. You only throw away thousand of dollars on things that can sometimes damage your skin even more.

Some of the products available as acne treatment claim that they can cure acne because they destroy acne bacteria. What most people do not know is that acne bacteria are not the cause of acne. It is only a symptom. These products do not work permanently because they only clear the bacteria from the surface of the skin and make the blemishes go away for a short period, but they do not actually treat the root of the problem.

People with face acne suffer for years, and this situation involves a lot of stress and insecurity. Self-esteem is very low and most of them hide themselves and do not enjoy the great things in life the way they should. The acne blemishes can be very stressful, but they are not the start of the problem but the end of it. The acne is actually an internal problem, and the skin is another way of eliminating toxic waste from our body.

For most people acne begins at puberty, when the body produces androgen hormones. Acne develops because such hormones over-stimulate and enlarge the sebaceous glands in people with acne. This is also the reason why pregnant women or the ones that have their menstrual cycle also get acne. There is no fixed acne treatment or acne remedy to get you rid of it miraculously. You have to start doing some basic changes in your diet and life style. An acne treatment will not work in stress conditions either, because your gut bacteria are not healthy. You can try any acne remedy but as long as your insides are not healthy, it will prove pointless.

For an acne remedy to work and have long-lasting effects, you need to have a healthy diet, with small quantities of refined sugars, drink plenty of water and try to use herbal supplements instead of artificial ones. Acne if often genetic, and in this case it is more difficult to get rid of it. Some astringent cleaners affect the skin as well, causing acne.

If you have scars produced by acne that are red, purple or even brown, you can use rosehip oil, which you can apply straight on them. As a rule, rosehip oil reduces scared tissue because of the high content of fatty acids, along with neem oil.

For adolescents it is good to go out in the sunshine and enjoy the fresh air, they should eat less fat foods and sweets and try to reduce the quantity of red meat. Fruits and vegetables are always a better choice to heavy meat meals, and deeds and nuts are a very good diet supplement./pbr
